Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by statichost.eu on servers in the European Union. When you visit the site, the server processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, date and time, and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Visitor statistics without cookies

To count visits independently of the cookie banner, we use Umami Cloud, a privacy-friendly analytics service, with the data stored in the EU. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records which pages are viewed, the website you came from, the country, the type of device and browser, and selected clicks, for example on the contact or book buttons. Your IP address is not stored, and the data cannot be used to identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is kept for six months.

Statistics, retargeting and cookies

We are building a new, human-led communication model and would like to learn how visitors use this site. For this, and only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, we use two services. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. If you decline, neither service is loaded. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 165 (3) TKG 2021, for visitors from Germany also § 25 (1) TDDDG).

Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It records which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, the device and browser, an approximate location, and actions such as clicks on contact or booking buttons, sent forms and self-check results. Cookies are set for this purpose. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Optional data sharing with Google has been switched off. Data is kept for two months and then deleted.

LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. It allows us to see aggregated information about the professional background of our visitors, such as industry and job function, to measure the results of our LinkedIn campaigns and to show our content again to visitors on LinkedIn. LinkedIn does not share personal data of individual visitors with us. Data may be transferred to LinkedIn Corporation in the United States, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Fonts are stored on our own server, so no data is sent to font providers. To remember small settings in your browser, such as a closed pop-up, a played introduction, your cookie choice or your consent to YouTube videos, the site uses local storage in your browser. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Self-check

Your answers in the self-check are processed only in your browser. They are sent to us only if you choose to include them in a request through the contact form. If you have accepted statistics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics records which result you received, but not your answers.

Contact form and book reservation

When you send a request or reserve a copy of the book, we process the details you enter, such as your name, email address, company, address and message, to answer your request and to prepare a possible order. The form is processed by the Austrian form service form.taxi, which processes the entries exclusively in data centres in the European Union and forwards them to us by email. Providing these details is voluntary, but without them we cannot answer your request. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract and the performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), and your consent, which you give with the checkbox in the form (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Payments

Payments for consultations and books are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. Stripe processes your payment details, name, email and billing address to carry out the payment and to issue the invoice. Data may also be processed by Stripe companies outside the EU, on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

Booking appointments

Appointments are booked through Google Calendar appointment pages provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes the name, email address and details you enter when booking. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. YouTube videos

Videos from our YouTube channel are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only after you click to play them. Only then is data, including your IP address, sent to Google Ireland Limited and possibly to Google LLC in the United States. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you give by clicking play.

How long we keep data

We keep requests for as long as needed to answer them and for any following cooperation. Invoices and accounting records are kept for seven years, as required by § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (BAO).

Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to us at info@vera-agency.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
