Terms of sale

1. Seller

2. Prices and payment

All prices are final prices in euros. No VAT is charged, as VERA applies the small business exemption under § 6 (1) 27 UStG. Shipping costs for books are shown separately before payment. Payment is made by card or another method offered on the payment page of Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. The payment button on that page makes clear that you are placing an order with an obligation to pay. You receive a receipt and an invoice by email.

3. Contract and appointment

The contract for the consultation is concluded when you complete the payment. After the payment, you choose a date on our booking page. You can move the date once, free of charge, up to 24 hours before it begins. The consultation takes place online or, by agreement, in Vienna.

4. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period begins on the day after the contract is concluded. To exercise this right, inform us by email to info@vera-agency.com or by letter to the address above with a clear statement of your decision. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Sending the statement before the end of the period is enough. We refund all payments without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal, using the same payment method.

Consultation within the withdrawal period. If you want the consultation to take place within the 14 days, you expressly request this before paying, and you confirm that you know you lose your right of withdrawal once the consultation has been fully provided (§ 10 and § 18 (1) 1 FAGG, § 356 (4) BGB for consumers in Germany). If you withdraw after the consultation has started, you pay only the share of the service provided until your withdrawal (§ 16 FAGG, § 357a (2) BGB).

Deduction. If we continue to work together, the fee for the consultation is deducted from the fee of your first package.

Part B · Signed copies of the book

5. Reservation and order

A reservation through the website is free and not binding for either side. When the book is printed, we send you an email with the final price, the shipping costs, the expected delivery date and a payment link. A purchase contract is concluded only when you complete the payment through this link.

6. Delivery

We ship within Austria and to other countries of the European Union. Unless agreed otherwise, the book is sent within ten working days after payment, and in any case no later than 30 days. The book remains our property until it has been paid in full.

7. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take possession of the book. To exercise this right, inform us as described in section 4. You may use the model form below.

Consequences of withdrawal. We refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal, using the same payment method. We may withhold the refund until we have received the book back or you have shown that you have sent it. Please send the book back within 14 days. You bear the direct cost of returning it. You are liable for any loss in value of the book only if it results from handling that goes beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

Exception for dedicated copies. There is no right of withdrawal for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (§ 18 (1) 3 FAGG, § 312g (2) 1 BGB for consumers in Germany). A copy with a personal dedication written for you or for a person you name is such a personalised good. Signed copies without a personal dedication can be returned as described above.

9. Warranty

The statutory warranty rights apply. If a copy arrives damaged or faulty, please write to us and we will replace it.

10. Applicable law and disputes

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law does not remove the protection given by the mandatory provisions of the country in which they live. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
